OK, I'm back but I don't know for how long.

Guy at work and me work differently. He "checks out" the programs he's going to work on, so I have to check what he has checked out and can't put any changes in them until he's finished (otherwise there would be chaos). I'm the type who makes my changes, then copies the latest master version, and quickly make the same changes in it (comparing the two to figure out what changes to make), then copy the modified version back. My way, the program is "unavailable" to anyone else for maybe an hour. His way, it's sometimes weeks. Mine's a little more trouble for me, but gives much better results for him. Programmers know now why I have this subject for today and what I doing right now.

Watched the first half of "Big Fish" this morning. Not bad, but the sound in the second half is out-of-synch with the picture so that's gonna take some getting used to. Last LOTR on Wednesday, but I doubt if I'll be able to get it in time for Friday's office gift exchange.

So, Steven, you just trying to be cryptic today, or what? If so, congratulations. If not, congratulations. Anyone got anything to say to mysticalhippie today? I thought about it but it just didn't seem worth it. Reality can be a slippery thing sometimes and I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, especially one in such full swing.

Glad it's almost lunch time, blood sugar getting low, guess it will be a sloppy joe today. Guess this will be a short one today. But, then again, my reply ratio is dying down, so guess I've pretty well exhausted all my controversial topics anyway. Anyone ever read "The Bell Curve"? :)
