OK, I'm back but I don't know for how long.

Well, got my first reply - thanks Muse. And it wasn't even a slam. You see, at my age I've finally determined that I might be a little opinionated. Of course, everyone is, but I've actually realized it. My son says that I should call my blog "Cynic's Corner", and maybe I will. Sometimes I think, however, that I'm really not a cynic, just that the world really does stink. So, I really expected that I would end up getting slammed quite a bit because of my opinions. Especially from young people who already know everything so obviously I must be wrong. Anyway, we'll see.

Watched an unusual movie this morning called "In the Cut". Actually it was a fairly standard murder mystery involving a lot of sex and cursing. What made it unusual was who played the main character, a nympho-psycho-masochist. Are you ready ------- MEG RYAN. Right, complete with nude scene - and not just quite glance but a lingering shot so you could be sure it wasn't a body-double. Anyway, guess she's trying to shed the squeaky-clean, comedic, image. And she succeeds brilliantly.

Well, big crowds are Wal-mart today so we just decided to skip it and come home. There to buy a TV to replace my wife's in the den (it's pink - that's not the color of the case, it's the color of the picture currently). Also needed a couple of VCR's - we're running out. We have 4 VCR's but I like to always have a spare, just in case, you know, and one of the ones we have has decided to forget how to rewind, so we need a replacement for it.

Irritating question of the day: Do you think owning guns would be OK with the liberal crowd if they were only used for abortions? My question is actually, how can you be against the freedom to own a gun but for the freedom to have an abortion?

Well, got to go watch some additional footage from this week's "Survivor" that I downloaded from the net. Back later. Hang in there, as Redfoot said, "Everything will work out if you'll let it."
