OK, I'm back but I don't know for how long.

I had thought to write a blog today about freedoms, responsibilities, limitations, and consequences. But then I say, "Why should I expose myself to such abuse."

I realized that it would take at least four or five posts to do proper service to these subjects. I even had quite a bit done on the first one - covering the freedoms we have in this country, where they come from, what others are being sought by different groups - when I decided I really didn't need the hassle.

Other than to act as a whipping boy, I can't think of any reason why I would want to tell anyone what I've observed over the last 50 years. Everyone is so busy with what they think important, have built what they consider a logical reality, and are not likely to allow anything to intrude. They would rather question my conclusions (and my reasons for drawing them) rather than consider them, examine them for truth.

So, I've decided that if people are sure that what they want this country to be will be a better country, who am I to say nay. I am sure they have noted all things which have happened in the past, noted the consequences of actions taken, investigated the necessity for limitations. Or maybe not.
