OK, I'm back but I don't know for how long.
Another day
Well, I better get this done at work because I won't have time to do an adequate job tonight. Been over to several sites, dispensing advise, some of it nice, some not. One of the hazards of deciding to be in the blogosphere is that you have to deal with a lot of people who have different opinions from you. And, surprisingly, some that agree with you as well. Guess I'm human, because I like the latter more than the former, although I probably learn more from the former.
Some people (alright, almost all people), consider me opinionated. I have to admit, I am. But then again, so is everyone. Some people thing that I consider myself superior. And I do. In some things. Not in others. Again, is this really different from anyone else? There are some things that I absolutely suck at. Ask me to draw an kind of simple picture and I'm going to just stare back at you in non-comprehension, no clue in my head had to do such a thing. On other things I have few who can match me. I've never had any trouble with the fact that there are people who are superior to me because I know that in at least some area I'm superior to them. Maybe it bothers other people because they don't believe they're superior in any way. Well, that may get a comment.
I have also found out already in blogging that there are some people out there who appreciate me that I never knew that they felt that way. Gives you a good feeling. On the other hand, I've found that most people have hidden agendas that will surface at the strangest times, in the strangest ways.
Well, not much to report today. Work is going surprisingly well this week. Haven't gotten a whole lot done on what I'm supposed to be working on, but a whole lot done on a lot of other problems. So tremendous progress being made, but not getting anywhere. Of course, I will learn the real truth about that when my boss asks me about progress (probably tomorrow, maybe even later this afternoon).
Been watching the Norwegian Survivor show. Don't understand a word, of course, but can still watch the women in bikinis and enjoy the challenges. They're a bit tougher than the American ones. And they do some strange little things. Like have one guy (they started out with 19 and he was the one neither team wanted) on a separate island, then take 1 from each tribe (selected by each of the tribes' leader) and put them with him after 6 days. Now that the captain of one of the tribes decided to quit the game (wonder what that was all about, I'm sure they explained it - looked like homesickness), the original guy on the separate island was brought in and has now gone from unwanted by either tribe to leader of one of them. Wonder how that's setting with his teammates? Guess we'll know at the next vote, won't we? Luckily his tribe won the first one after his re-entry.
If you've been over to my son's blog, you know that he says he now has a unknown significant other. He's waiting for me to ask about her - but I won't. He's "gone through" a number of women lately, and I'm going to assume it's none of those, from the way he speaks of them. In time it will all work itself out one way or another. After all, he's scheduled to be over Christmas Eve and we will have to know how many places he needs at the table. Anyway, I'm really not curious. :)
